The 2025 farm tour was a story of slowing down, listening, and immersing in a deep, nurturing forest... A forest where peace and abundance prevail. 🌿
This year, we once again visited the farm and received a private tour from Beronika, the guardian of the forest. She gave us an inside look at how 15 years of rainforest restoration and sustainable management have taken place — and how cacao has become one of their main sources of livelihood.
Here in Alta Verapaz, Guatemala, forests aren’t cut down — they’re planted and cared for, because everything needed for life is found within them.
This finca is one of the few family-run businesses in Guatemala dedicated to preserving ancient varieties of beans - pesticide-free and in harmony with nature. In addition, they grow rubber trees, ginger, bananas, cardamom, mucuna and much more.
Reet Tiido writes about her experience on the farm. And the experience of the cacao ! If before there was passion, now there is also a deep respect for cacao ."
